A Little About Us:
Beth Shores .. aka, Owner & Outdoor Enthusiast
Beth grew up with a family business, “Mr. Charlie’s Balloons” and always wanted her own business as early as she can remember. She spent most summers and weekends camping, trekking, or traveling with her family or with Boy Scout Explorer Post 359, which she founded through her local church. As a teen, she made history by working at Kia Kima Scout Reservation as the first female instructor teaching the C.O.P.E. Course (Challenging Outdoor Personal Experience, ropes course). She majored in Retail Floristry Management from MSU, and managed the on campus flower shop “The University Florist” and also volunteered for years at Camp Seminal, a local Boy Scout camp in Starkville, MS. And in 2007, was co-creator/ owner of the very successful “The FrogHead Grill” and in 2010 “The Irish Frog.” She left the restaurant industry to focus on her family alway with the intent on starting her own business again. In December of 2014, "Paxton Peak Olde Town Outfitters" was born. The store graced the Brick Streets for almost four years and is now starting a new chapter of it's ever-evolving life... the online world! Paxton Peak will be a fun platform sharing the love of the great outdoors, fun family adventures, and sharing the life of an entrepreneur and busy mom... STAY TUNED!
